Skirting The Dodgy Path
The generic term “goblin” (sometimes goblin kin, or goblin kind ) is used for a number of species and/or subspecies of humanoid creatures with blue to green tinged skin. Counted as a whole, goblin kind have the second-widest known distribution around Triagia, behind only Humans. Goblins can generally be found in any terrain.
True Goblins are smaller than men with blue-green tinged skins. They have thick browridges with sloping foreheads, topped by thick black hair. Their huge around eyes, are yellow with black irises. They have long fang-like teeth.
Goblins tend to have a fondness for deep forests and high mountains. This tendency has led to conflict with both Humans and Dwarves at times, with the latter having waged conflict with the Goblin race so often that the antagonism has turned into a shared racial hatred. The largest known populations are within Sar-Sargoth, and deep within the Green Heart forest. There is also speculation that populations are increasing in areas of the Grey Towers.
Boglings are a primitive race of semi-amphibian goblin like creatures that have a fondness for swamps and other wetlands. They are short, squat creatures with spindly limbs, smooth green mottled skin, and beady black eyes. They have webbed claws on hands and feet. They are adapted to life in the swamp and excel at swimming. They can hold their breath for up to 15 minutes.
Boglings live in small tribal communities in the wetlands and marshes of the world. They have a very primitive social structure and are led by the strongest male. They use primitive tools and weapons and dwell in dome shaped huts fashioned from branches and large leaves from the local swamp plants.
